Togo’s AfCFTA implementation strategy shows how it will make the most out of the AfCFTA

Lomé, October 17, 2019 – The Togolese strategy for the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Zone (AfCFTA) was presented today in Lomé, during a validation workshop held from 17 to 18 October in the Togolese capital.

Aimed at promoting exports within the African market, industrial development and job creation, this national strategy also sheds light on Togo’s strategy for managing its overall participation in regional integration efforts.

Harare, Zimbabwe, October 2, 2019 (ECA) – Zimbabwe anticipates that the game-changing African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) will create new impetus for investment, trade and industrialization in the country in line with the southern African nation’s development plans.

This was said by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Ambassador James Manzou in a speech read on his behalf by Ambassador Pavelyn Musaka at the beginning of a two-day workshop to validate the country’s national AfCFTA strategy.
