ECA develops toolkit to help member States integrate Agendas 2030 and 2063
Nigeria country profile launched in Abuja – Energy, as one of the vectors for the country’s structural transformation
Abuja, Nigeria, 30 June 2017 (ECA) - Nigeria’s Ministry of Budget and National Planning, in collaboration with the Sub-Regional Office for West Africa of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) launched, on this day in Abuja, the 2016 Country Profile for the Country.
The objective of this initiative is to provide analysis and recommendations specific to Nigeria, in its drive towards structural transformation that will foster sustainable growth and social development, as well as its performance in areas such as regional integration and the fight against social exclusion.

All is set for Abuja high-level policy dialogue on mainstreaming SDGs in national development plans
Abuja, Nigeria, 27 June 2017 (ECA) – All is set for the High Level Policy Dialogue on Development Planning in Africa that opens in Abuja Wednesday with the aim of helping member States mainstream Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into national development plans.
The three-day meeting is being hosted by the Capacity Development Division of the Economic Commission of Africa (ECA) in collaboration with Nigeria’s Budget and National Planning Ministry.
20th Session of West African Intergovernmental Committee of Experts opens on planning and development

The Session is being held in the context of efforts by countries to embark on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
