The Intergovernmental Committee of Senior Officials and Experts (ICE) of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) is a body that was created by the UN General Assembly. In West Africa, it meets annually to discuss the economic and social performances of countries of the region, based on reports prepared by the Sub-Regional Office for West Africa of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA/SRO-WA).
Virtual Think Tanks and Experts Group Meeting
The Economic Commission for Africa Sub-regional Office for West Africa (ECA/SRO-WA) was mandated to host the Specialized Centre on Demographic Dynamics for Development (DDD) to contribute to the generation of data, knowledge and policies to address the severe population challenges faced by many African countries. The Covid-19 pandemic brought further disruption to African countries which were already facing structural vulnerabilities.
