Togo sets seven priorities for implementing the AfCFTA

Lomé, October 20, 2019 - Togo is actively working towards strengthening its institutional mechanisms to ensure a successful implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), as outlined in its national AfCFTA implementation strategy. The strategy was presented for discussion and validation on 17 and 18 October in Lomé to public and private sector representatives.

Togo’s AfCFTA implementation strategy shows how it will make the most out of the AfCFTA

Lomé, October 17, 2019 – The Togolese strategy for the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Zone (AfCFTA) was presented today in Lomé, during a validation workshop held from 17 to 18 October in the Togolese capital.

Aimed at promoting exports within the African market, industrial development and job creation, this national strategy also sheds light on Togo’s strategy for managing its overall participation in regional integration efforts.

Niamey hosts the regional workshop for the Western African countries in the production of geospatial information

Niamey, Niger, September 17, 2019 – The proceedings of a workshop for the Western African countries in the production of geospatial information were launched on Tuesday in Niamey, Niger, on the initiative of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA). This meeting, which will be held from September 17-19, 2019 was organised in collaboration with the Government of Niger through the National Geographic Institute of Niger.
