ECA country profiles to help countries tell their own development narratives
Addis Ababa, 28 March 2015 (ECA) -“Africa must be in position to tell its own story, but it won’t be able to do so if it doesn’t have the data to tell this story. […] The ECA country profiles will be assisting member states to take control of their own narratives, they will also place them in a better position to take evidence-based decisions”, said ECA Deputy Executive Secretary Mr Abdalla Hamdock, at the launch of the ECA Country Profiles.
18th meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee of Experts for West Africa
ECA, through its Sub-Regional Office for West Africa (SRO-WA) will hold the Eighteenth Session of the Intergovernmental Committee of Experts (ICE) for West Africa from 18 to 19 March 2015 in Dakar, Republic of Senegal.
The ICE is the statutory organ of the ECA for West Africa. It brings together representatives from the fifteen West African member States as well as Regional Economic Communities (RECs) and Intergovernmental Organizations (IGOs) of the sub-region, development partners, academia, research centres and other stakeholders.
