Libreville, 28 February, 2020 (ECA) - Improving the competitiveness of businesses; raising awareness of all stakeholders; setting up an active national AfCFTA implementation committee; synergy between the public and private sectors; continued support from technical partners such as the UN Economic Commission for Africa (ECA); structural reforms leading to the removal of tariff and non-tariff barriers to increase productivity, promote the emergence of regional and continental chains and lead Africa in general and Gabon in particular to a 'future we want'!!!
National Awareness and Sensitization Forum on the AfCFTA
This national forum aims to raise awareness among stakeholders about the implementation of the AfCFTA agreement, signed on March 21, 2018 and ratified on July 02, 2019 by Gabon. They will be provided with contextual information on the Agreement, the expected effects of its implementation and the strategic directions envisaged by the Government in rendering the continental market operational.

The ultimate goal of the workshop is to finalize the Plan with experts and other international contributors to enable the Chadian government operationalize it.
