ECA and the Government of Comoros call for more effective policies

Moroni, Comoros, 20 November 2017  (ECA)- Participants at the 21st session of the Intergovernmental Committee of Experts have adopted the final communiqué which focuses on catalysts to growth in Eastern Africa, and paves the way for enhanced cooperation between the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and member states, including the Union of the Comoros.

Tourism and energy identified as drivers for economic transformation in Comoros

Moroni, Comoros, 15 November 2017 (ECA) - Tourism and energy are among the sectors that can accelerate growth in Comoros and enable the country to achieve the Government strategic vision to become an emerging country by 2030.

The joint session concluded the three-day meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee of Experts held by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in Moroni. The Comoros profile produced by the ECA, which highlights macroeconomic and social developments in the country, was officially presented during the meeting.
