Nouakchott, April 30, 2019 - The Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania is organizing, with the support of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) the National Consultation, Review and Validation Workshop of the Report of the National Voluntary Review on the SDGs, from 2 to 3 May 2019 in Nouakchott.
Participants in this event will enrich and validate the Mauritania Voluntary National Report in preparation for its presentation at the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) on Sustainable Development in July 2019.
This event will be organized with the participation of high-level civil servants, elected officials, civil society and private sector representatives, the academic community as well as technical and financial partners, and will evaluate progress and identify areas to be strengthened in order to accelerate SDG implementation and achieve the goals set in accordance with the Strategy for Accelerated Growth and Shared Prosperity (SCAPP).
