Rabat, 28 June 2016: The ECA office in North Africa presented, Friday 24 June 2016 in Rabat the ERA2016 report to the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE) of the Kingdom of Morocco (CESE).
This presentation was part of a hearing by the CESE Permanent committee for economic affairs and strategic projects; and aimed to collect ECA views and suggestions and discuss options for environment friendly industrialization in Morocco. The hearing took place as part of a series of CESE discussions under the theme “Morocco’s successive industrial policies, their economic and social effects and future perspectives in the light of global evolutions and digital transitions”.
This hearing took place as Morocco is preparing for the Conference of Parties on Climate (COP22, 7-18 November 2016). Key objectives at COP22 will include implementing commitments made in 2015 to reduce climate change and integrate the climate dimension with the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
