One important aspect of ECA’s work on natural resources is the conduct of policy-oriented research aiming to support the policy, legal and regulatory frameworks for the proper management of natural resources in Africa.
Natural Resource Management
Africa holds a huge proportion of the world’s natural resources of which only a fraction is currently being exploited. In order for Africa to reap the economic and social benefits inherent in this wealth, it is necessary to urgently address such issues as proper management and the environmental impact of their exploitation.
