A Conversation with Africa's Thought Leaders in Media & Arts: Perspectives on Africa's Development Agenda
Background
Africa’s development agenda is often seen as a domain of member States and civil society. Other Africa voices such as the arts are often absent, and when present, it is to provide entertainment interludes. Similarly, the media, an indisputable force over our individual and collective lives, often participate to merely chronicle the events and discussions.
The media and arts remain powerful voices that continue to shape our lives in large proportions.
Africa’s development agenda should tap into the creative ideas of such powerful voices that harbour equally powerful views and ideas on creating the Africa we want.
This round-table brings together a select of Africa’s thought leaders in the arts and media industry to add their unique perspective on how to achieve Africa’s transformational agenda.
The launch is open to all delegates. 3rd April 2016; 11:30 - 13:30; Large Briefing Room
