The workshop will take place at La Residence Hotel and Spa, located in Adama/Nazareth, Ethiopia. It is being conducted with a broad aim of strengthening the UN coordination mechanism at the continental and sub-regional levels, so as to support the African Union and African regional economic communities with the implementation of the Agenda 2063.  

The objective of the training is to enhance the capacity of participants to implement, appraise, monitor and evaluate programmes and projects developed in the context of the RCM-Africa and SRCMs. The workshop will use participatory and interactive methods to facilitate understanding of the methodological, conceptual and analytical/technical issues among the participants. Among other outcomes, it is expected that participants would have increased understanding of the fundamental principles and practices of project implementation, appraisal, monitoring and evaluation as well as a formulation of a template to be used for an effective monitoring and evaluation of programmes and projects to be implemented by RCM-Africa and SRCMs.
