This meeting aims to assess the progress, challenges, good practices and lessons learned related to SDG implementation in North Africa.

Participants will discuss the report on SDG implementation in Maghreb countries produced by ECA Office for North Africa. They will also further their discussions on various aspects of SDG implementation such as civil society and private sector participation, SDG inclusion in public policies, SDG monitoring, budgeting and resource-mobilization mechanisms.

This meeting will take place with the participation of institutions involved in the steering and monitoring of SDG related policies in Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Tunisia and Sudan, the Arab Maghreb Union General Secretariat, the UN system, and several regional and international development organizations.
