The Land Policy Initiative in collaboration with the Global Land Tool Network (GLTN)/UN-Habitat and RCMRD will hold a Training of Trainers Workshop in Transparency in Land Administration starting from 6-8 October 2015 at the premises of the RCMRD, Nairobi, Kenya. The training is organized as part of the Partnership project LPI- UN Habitat to implement a Capacity Development project in Africa. The training event targets 21 change agent participants coming from government, Regional Economic Communities (RECs), farmers’ organizations, civil society organizations, professional organizations, academia and traditional authorities.
The overall objective of the learning is to increase the capacity of key change agents and other land sector professionals of the importance of transparency in land administration by enhancing their understanding of land governance challenges and strengthen their ability to address issues of corruption within the land sector. The training cover key themes clustered into different training modules related to land governance, transparency, land administration and tools that could help bring about transparency.
