The main purpose of the Steering Committee Meeting is to review the progress of the implementation of decisions taken during last meeting, held in May 2014. The Meeting will review and provide inputs to the LPI work plan, and will reflect on emerging issues. The Meeting will be attended by representatives of the African Union Commission (AUC), the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), African Development Bank (AfDB), the  New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) Agency, the Pan-African Parliament, RECs, the Pan African Farmers Organisation (PAFO), the European Union, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), UN-Habitat, and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
