The proposed training aims to connect energy sector experts from select countries of Eastern Africa with the Long-range Energy Alternatives Planning System (LEAP )planning tool to enhance their planning and analysis capabilities through the use of contemporary tools and will offer a platform for sharing experiences. The training will be offered by the Stockholm Environment Institute on the LEAP planning tool, and will conduct the certified training based on the 2014 version of LEAP. The training will also include exploration of additional planning tools utilized by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).
