The Forum of Statistical Development in Africa is a biannual event jointly organized by the African Development Bank, the Economic Commission for Africa and the Partnership in Statistics for Development in the 21st Century since 2004. The Forum was established with the following main functions:
- to have an overview of statistical activities, including assistance and training in Africa;
- to set up a permanent system for monitoring statistical development in Africa; and
- to strengthen modalities for cooperation, with a view to leveraging each partner’s comparative advantage.
The Forum will be held this year VIRTUALLY on 14 December 2020 under the theme “Harnessing the impact of the COVID-19 crisis to accelerate the transformation and modernization of national statistical systems in Africa”.
