Expert Group Meeting for the study on the Conflict in the Great Lakes Region, the Development Costs and Consequences

The Capacity Development Division (CDD) of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), in Addis Ababa at the request of the African Union Commission will host an expert group meeting to review a policy research project report entitled “Conflict in the Great Lakes Region, the Developmental Costs and Consequences”. The objective of the policy research is to study the nature and substance of the conflict in DRC, shed light on strategies to achieve an enduring solution to the conflict and propose mechanisms for ensuring good governance, socio-economic and political recovery and development.

CDD will further engage experts in review of the report for their contributions and comments.  Stakeholders including civil society organizations will be represented.
