A Policy Dialogue on “Governance of Maritime Resources and Activities for Sustainable Development in Africa”.

The Policy Dialogue will be held from the 21 to 23 of June 2017 in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.  This continental forum will offer the opportunity to share national experiences and build common future strategies to better protect the maritime interests of African States in the spirit of the AU’s 2050 Africa’s Integrated Maritime Strategy for the Seas and Oceans.  There will be sessions dedicated to reinforce Africa’s blue economy mainly in the fields of maritime transportation, ports, trade, water resources (including fishery and mineral activities) as well as security and safety, partnerships, gender matters and aspects pertaining to the management of maritime borders.
