Title
Every year, on 18 November, African countries celebrates the African Statistics Day (ASD) with the objective of raising public awareness about the importance of statistics in economic and social development and in preserving the environment. This day provides the opportunity for each country in evaluating its achievements and in monitoring the progress in its development trajectory as well as in measuring the progress in global development goals. The year 2015 will witness the endorsement of the sustainable development goals.
We are pleased to inform you that the selected theme for the ASD in this year, 2015 is “Better data for better lives: Harnessing modern technology to enhance national statistical systems”
