The Steering Committee will examine: progress in the implementation of the previous decisions of the Steering Committee held in June 1, 2018 and the 2019 ALPC Work Plan, including fund utilization. The meeting will also review and provide guidance on reports on programs of RECs and other partners in implementing the AU agenda on land, reflect on emerging issues and challenges, provide strategic guidance on any other matters related to implementation of the AU declaration on land.

The meeting will be chaired by the African Union Commission (AUC) and attended by Steering Committee members, who are representatives of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), African Development Bank (AfDB), the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) Agency, the Pan-African Parliament, and Regional Economic Communities (RECs). Representatives of the European Union, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), UN-Habitat, and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) will also attend the meeting as observers. The Steering Committee Meeting will be preceded on 7- 8 November by a planning meeting with the implementing partners.
