Follow-up mechanisms

The Forum is expected to result in the adoption of country action plans for the fight against HIV/AIDS as well as recommendations for countering the impact on Africa of HIV/AIDS. The proceedings and the position papers of the Forum will be distributed widely by print and electronic means. ECA will work with development partners to implement the country action plans endorsed at the Forum.

The Post Forum-Summit Dialogue

Shortly after the Forum, ECA will organize a post-Forum Summit Dialogue convening selected Heads of State and Government to ensure their full support for the country action plans and Forum recommendations, as well as to underscore their endorsement of the importance of the issues considered by ADF 2000.
