The Annual General Meeting of the Eastern African Land Administration Network (EALAN) will be co-organized with the Land Policy Initiative (LPI), Bahir Dar University and the USAID-funded Land Administration to Nurture Development (LAND) project. The meeting will provide a platform for member institutions to share and exchange experiences and knowledge around the theme “State of Land Administration in Eastern African Countries: Comparative Overview.” Participants will also discuss opportunities for joint partnerships to implement research and training programs on land administration and management in Eastern Africa. 

The meeting will bring together 25 representatives from EALAN including:  Ardhi University, Tanzania; Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia; Institut d’Enseignement Supérieur de Ruhengeri, Rwanda; Makerere University, Uganda; Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development, Kenya; Technical University, Kenya; University of Burundi, Burundi; University of Juba, South Sudan; University of Rwanda, Rwanda. The meeting will also include participants from ETHIOLANDNET, a network of ten academic, research and professional institutions/associations in Ethiopia.
