InterAction Leadership Programme
Facilitator : Interaction Africa
Opening: Welcoming and introductory remarks.
Setting the context: Explain the way the one day programme is run as well as its challenges/opportunities and provide an overview of the programme.
The Power of Assumption: To understand what assumptions are, how they drive our behaviour.
09:45 Introduction to Appreciative Inquiry: Provide an introduction on Appreciative Inquiry and give an overview of the 8 Assumptions and Appreciative Inquiry.
Coffee Break
8 Assumptions in action: Provide an opportunity to understand how to use assumptions to guide and inform ones actions and ground the learning for the challenge of Appreciation, goodwill and good intent.
Internal Questioner: help people to see they have an internal questioner, that we are often either judge or creator and that we can shift from judge to creator.
Lunch Break
The Chaos of Communication and TICing Model: To recognize that communication is not straightforward and is naturally chaos; to increase ones capacity to be curious rather than angry when communicating, and to increase ones capacity to hear, to be heard and unheard.
Be the Change: To illustrate that small tweaks or actions within an organization can bring about changes; to help to think about which actions will have the greatest impact with the smallest actions; to show that individuals can make a big difference; and to give a sense of hopefulness and possibility
Wrap-p: To end the programme in a way that motivates people and encourages them to take up the challenges and opportunities that have been addressed throughout the taring.

• Peace Building & Conflict Resolution- Facilitated by Youth teams (Sierra Leone & Cameroon) - Venue CR 3
• Entrepreneurship - Facilitated by Joni Musabayana ( ILO) - Venue CR 4
• Best Practices - facilitated by youth leader and Dee Dee Angagaw from UNFPA - Venue CR 6
• Leadership, Motivation, Role Modeling and Mentoring - Venue CR 5
• Youth in Sport - Venue LBR
The training workshops are meant to familiarise the youth with thematic issues that will be discussed during the ADF - V. Workshops that can accommodate up to 50 participants will be organized on ICT, Volunteerism, Peace Building and Conflict Resolution, Entrepreneurship and other issues that are on the ADF - V agenda. The purpose is to enable the youth participate in ADF - V deliberations from an informed and prepared position.

Presentation by:
• The ACPF on their latest research findings.
• The World bank on their latest report on youth.
This purpose of this plenary is to gather the opinions and perceptions of the youth on Africa's future and whether they foresee a role for themselves or not. As the majority of the African population and as the creative, dynamic and productive force of the continent the session will document what can be expected from the youth and what the youth expect from the society in light of presentations to be made by the ACPF and the World Bank.
